How can the knife can be disengaged on a Brother 1034DX?

There’s a sliding button on the left side at the bottom.

Mine has a tab attached to the knife that helps you disengage it.

It is plastic and rigid. It flips down.

You pull it like a tab out, to the right from the machine and twist to move it.
