Cleaning Thread Tension Channels
CLEANING THREAD TENSION CHANNELS:
Un-thread your machine for cleaning.
Take a paper towel and fold in half lengthwise.
Spray with Windex glass cleaner.
Carefully thread the folded edge of the towel vertically in the thread channel of each tensioner knob via the slot
on the front of the machine where you would normally string your thread through.
Use a "flossing
motion up and down" in the channel to dislodge any thread slubs that may have accumulated there.
Do this after serging any really fluffy/linty type fabrics like fleece, minky, terry cloth or felt.
Otherwise once in a while - this is a good thing to add to your periodic maintenance list.
Put it on your
Google Calendar as a monthly auto-reminder so you don’t have to remember to do it.
